Productivity

Hey every body welcome to my blog post first of all, the moment you open this post pat on  your shoulder and take a deep breath with proud because  you made an attempt to learn something new, at least you are willing to try something new and the topic is,

Productivity:

Productivity is the most biggest buzzing word that we have been using all these days.So have you ever thought what is productivity ? if yes and also if you need an answer for this and need tips for being productive then this blog is for you.

First of all I just wanted to clarify one thing before providing a clear definition  that is being busy is not being productive. And clearly productivity means "adopting an attitude for continued improvement".

Completing all our tasks that actually we set in a day closing the day with satisfaction gives an immense pleasure and also an inspirational boost to work hard further.

so without further delay lets discuss about the tips for being productive and leading a happy life.

Do the difficult task when you can concentrate and do it properly:

We do perform so many tasks in our daily life but we do find some of them are easy and some of them are difficult, first thing we have to realize is ,  difficult tasks need most of our attention compared to easy ones.So concentrate on difficult tasks first and later take care of the easy ones.

Stop multitasking:

Multitasking is a productivity killer. Research  show that productivity can be reduced by as much as 40% by the mental blocks created when people switch tasks.

*In a University of London study, IQ dropped 15 points for some multitasking men.

*A study out of the University of Sussex in the UK indicates that multi

tasking may actually be physically harming your brain.

*The study found that one who performs multitasks at a time had  a lower gray matter density in a brain area called the anterior cingulate cortex, which is linked to emotional control and decision making, empathy, and the brain's response to rewards.

Prepare To-Do list:

To-Do list means keeping a track of works that you do in a day and writting them on a paper or on a board. When you write down some thing on a paper that will make a strong impression in your brain and then it slowly  tries to implement it into the real word and believe me this will help you to be much more productive than ever.

*Once you have completed your task which you have mentioned or noted in your To-Do list you just strike it down this habit gives you satisfaction and boost your memory to do much more tasks.

Don't confuse your brain with improper instructions:

Every one of us have more time to spend on our own work. The key is to involve ourselves in a right tasks with a clear instruction.

*When you don't give clear instructions to your brain it will get confused this may become vulnerable for your productivity.

*Feed your brain with clear instructions and complete your task effectively.

Eliminating distractions:

*Find the important ones from your bucket list concentrate on them and work on them. Invest your energy in them and get them done.

Avoid social media and plan phone calls:

This social media became the biggest distracter. Initially we all decide to work hard and to complete the task but we end up scrolling through social media pages and chatting on our phone.

*There are many applications which help us to get out of this. Which block notifications for a period of time.

Example:

Self-control is the app which you can install and you can block all the notifications from all your social media accounts for a certain period of time.

 Take breaks:

Taking breaks during working hours is very much important for being productive.

*This breaks can refill your energy to work much more efficiently.

*Continuously working long hours can cause loss of interest on our work.

*And have regular exercise routine. A Leeds Metropolitan University found that 65% of workers who used their  company gym at lunch time were more productive than remaining.

Be optimistic:

*Happy people are more productive.

*In a Maastricht University study of optimism and performance in call centers results showed that optimists (who have positive mindset or attitude) in the tested group made more sales achieved more bonuses.

Having positive attitude not only makes your day productive but also makes your life happy and healthier and creates positive consequences.

Have a good sleep:

Lack of sleep decreases our concentration, working memory, mathematical capacity and logical reasoning. So,have at least 6 to 7 hours sleep every day for a better productive day.

 Apps for productivity:

Forest:

This app takes on a creative approach to help you to focused. whenever you want to start a study session or work you  plant a tree in your app "forest" as you work the tree will begin to grow. but if you pick up your phone and leave the app your tree dies. You can collect and add more trees to your forest the more you focus. The company even plants real trees in dozens of countries.

Motion:

Motion free plan will block distracting sites like face book and you tube or gives you 1 minute to quickly check what you need. You will also receive a report on how much of your time online is productive or distracted and you can also use google calendar and Microsoft To-Do apps.

Finally work hard, be productive and have a great life. And catch you all back in my next post.

                                                THANK YOU.
